  • Open the new worksheet of Microsoft Excel or a worksheet which you need to connect to the Sage 50 data.
  • Go to the Data > then select Get External Data option > then visit From Other Sources section> after that select From Microsoft Query function.
  • Choose the needed source of the data, for instance, SageLine50v18 > then hit the OK button.
  • Select the User ID > type the username of the Sage 50 > go to the Password section > now type the password of the Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Finish the Query Wizard in order to select the needed data for the query.

To link to the Excel 2003

  • Go to the Start menu > visit the Search programs and files option > enter odbcad32 > then hit the Enter key.

If you are using Windows Vista

  • Open your Windows – go to the Start menu> select the Start Search dialogue box > then enter odbcad32 > after that hit the Enter key.

If you are using Windows XP as well as server 2003

  • Open your Windows XP or either Server 2003 – go to the Start menu> select the Run button> enter odbcad32 > > after that hit the Enter key.

 

Important: If you are using 64-bit Windows, enter C:\windows\syswow64\odbcad32.exe > then hit the enter key.

  • Go to your System DSN > choose the source of the data for the Sage 50 version, for instance, SageLine50v18 > then select the Configure.

  • Open the new worksheet of Microsoft Excel or a worksheet which you need to connect to the Sage 50 data.
  • Go to the Data > select the Import External Data option> and click on the New Database Query.
  • Choose the required source of data, for instance, SageLine50v18 > then click the OK button.
  • Select the User ID > type the username of the Sage 50> go to the Password section> type the password of the Sage 50> then hit the OK button.
  • Finish the Query Wizard in order to select the needed data for the query.
